1.If you were famous what would your stage name be?
Family is everything to me. I am so incredibly blessed with an amazing family and husband, Matt. Spending quality time with the entire family during the holidays is something I will always cherish. One of my favorite family traditions is getting together during Christmas to bake cookies and watch “It’s a Wonderful Lifeâ€. I can smell the fresh baked cookies and hot chocolate as we speak!
2.If you would attend a celebrity wedding which, would it be?
I want to provide education opportunities for individuals who would otherwise not pursue post-secondary education. Each year thousands of grants and scholarships go unused because scholars are unaware they exist. That is where my platform, “Join it! Learn it! Live it! Education for Lifeâ€, began. Being the link between students and universities has allowed me to help over 1,200 scholars across the world gain access to higher educational programs.
3.What is the weirdest gift you’ve ever received?
Helping individuals accomplish their educational goals and launch their careers is the most rewarding feeling in the world. I will never forget being able to help a young, single mother of two children, gain access to free education and land her dream career as a nurse. Through my workshop program she was able to receive a full-ride scholarship and is now pursuing a graduate degree.
4.What is the most random fact you know?
Realizing the positive impact I have on children through volunteer work. Walking into a classroom with my crown and sash on captures their attention and creates a sense of importance to the topic of the day. It always brightens my day to see a student run to their family and show them a craft project we created together or a fun photograph we took.
5.What is the one thing you’ll never do again?
My favorite sound is the V8 engine in our cherry red, 1963 Plymouth Sports Fury. My adrenaline starts to rush when I hear the roar of the loud engine and tires squealing at the start line. When I hear my husband crank the engine, I know it's going to be a fun family day! Most of our family memories are created traveling and racing together at drag strips across the country.
